Check out today’s show “Soundcheck” on WNYC. Dr. Michael White and his new CD, Blue Crescent are featured as they reflect on the 3 year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. Coincidently, we are preparing for Hurricane Gustav today and expect that most of the Louisiana and Mississippi Gulf Coast will be evacuating by Sunday and Monday if the hurricane continues along the predicted path. Basin Street Records will stay in operation regardless of whether we evacuate or not, just as we did during and after Katrina.
